Dear BKW Parents and Guardians,
Hard to believe that summer is nearly over. With that being said, please review the following information regarding your preparations for the upcoming school year.
START DATES:
- Students in grades 1-6 will begin school on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th
- Kindergarten Orientation is Wednesday, Sept. 8th

- Students ride to/from school with parents
- Their first full day of school is on Thursday, Sept. 9th

- Pre-k Orientation is Thursday, September 9th
- Students ride to/from school with parents
- Their first full day of school will be Friday, Sept. 10th
FORMS:
- All students must have a completed Emergency Contact/Dismissal form and Child Care/Parent Transport form on file in the main office by Monday, August 16th [forms are available on the BKW transportation page]
- Free/reduced lunch forms should be filled out and returned to the elementary main office by Friday, August 20th [Attention: Lateef Clark]
PTA WELCOME BACK NIGHT:
- Students in grades 1, 3, and 5 are invited to drop off school supplies to their classroom on Wednesday, September 1st, between 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
- Students in grades 2, 4, and 6 are invited to drop off school supplies to their classroom on Thursday, September 2nd, between 5:30 -7:30 p.m.
CLASSROOM ASSIGNMENTS:
- Your child’s teacher for the 2021-2022 your school year will be shared with you.
- These assignments are made with great consideration to balance academic and behavioral needs and abilities and are not subject to change.
