BKW students David Doolin, Logan LaForest and Logan Warner have been recognized for excellence in their studies at their high school and in career and technical education by being inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).
They are among 51 students so honored at the Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical School, where David Doolin studies Building Trades, Logan LaForest studies Game Design and Implementation, and Logan Warner studies Diesel Technology.
To be inducted into the NTHS, they had to meet several criteria, including earning grade point averages (GPA) of 92 or greater at Career & Tech and an overall GPA of 85 or greater at their high schools, as well as having five or fewer absences.
“I’m in awe of what you have accomplished,” said Jeff Palmer, director of career and technical education for Capital Region BOCES. “You have proven that you have the right stuff, that you are the right workers employers are seeking.”
In lieu of a formal induction ceremony, which was cancelled as a result of COVID-19 precautions, the students will be honored during a virtual graduation ceremony later this month.
