Four band students performed a Solo for Judges during the NYSSMA Solo Festival at Farnsworth Middle School on May 19th. Kathryn Joslin (11th) & Ben West (7th) earned Gold Medals for their Bass Clarinet & Trombone Solos and Madison Beck (10th) and Lauren Murphy (7th) earned Silver Medals on their clarinet and flute. The Berne-Knox-Westerlo National Honor Society & National Junior Honor Society is sponsoring a School Supply Drive. This community-based event will run from Friday, June 9 through Thursday, June 22. Registration for fall sports is open for the 2023 season. Varsity Football will begin on Saturday, August 19. All other JV and Varsity sports will begin Monday, August 21. Last week, Albany County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Hughes spoke with members of the senior class about the dangers of impaired driving. The purpose of the discussion was to highlight prevention.
