To the BKW Community, Wednesday morning the district was made aware of a threat made by a high school student on social media. Concerned parents who saw the threat contacted district administrators, who in turn contacted law enforcement. Members of the Berne-Knox-Westerlo FFA chapter attended a three-day Educational Leadership Program at Camp Oswegatchie from April 18th-April 20th. The students teamed up with members of the Galway FFA chapter to complete a number of team-building activities, including a low ropes course, winter outdoor survival skills, and night hikes with no flashlights. Due to a power transformer being down, all after school activities, including Bulldog Club, are cancelled at the BKW Central School District today, Monday, April 16th. All students will be dismissed at the regular dismissal time to be transported home.

Due to weather conditions, BKW Central Schools will be on a two hour delay this morning, Monday, April 16th. There will be no AM Pre-K or AM BOCES.

At its meeting on April 9, the BKW Board of Education adopted a proposed budget of $23,255,186 for the 2018-19.
