BKW Elementary School students enjoyed March Taste Test Thursday today. This month’s Harvest of the Month was butternut squash. Nutrition Fact: Butternut squash contains beta-carotene, which is what gives squash its bright orange color. Students enjoyed NYS maple mashed butternut squash in the school cafeteria.
It was a capital experience with agricultural leaders and producers when 10 members of BKW’s FFA chapter attended the Taste of New York Farm Bureau event in Albany on March 2.
