Join us for our Homecoming Festival, Oct. 22, 5-7 p.m.

BKW’s first annual Homecoming Festival will be held Friday evening, Oct. 22, from 5-7 p.m., outdoors, in the bus garage parking lot. Batty for books!

It was a science and reading lesson custom-made for Halloween month: BKW first graders recently spent some time learning about bats and other nocturnal animals during their library special with Katy Keyser, literacy specialist and English language arts teacher. “Wearing their bat crowns proudly, they are definitely “batty for books!” Keyser said.

A floral recipe for career-based learning

BKW’s 7th grade team learned first-hand about their natural surroundings through a field trip experience at the Emma Treadwell Thacher Nature Center on Oct. 6.
