Voters have approved the 2017-18 budget for the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District with 636 votes in favor and 161 opposed. The bus replacement proposition has also passed with 597 votes in favor and 207 opposed. Nathan Elble, Kimberly Lovell, and Helen Lounsbury were elected to serve on the BKW Board of Education. “I am grateful to the voters of BKW for approving a budget that is fiscally responsible while preparing our students for a 21st Century education,” Superintendent Dr. Timothy Mundell said. “I thank the members of our community for their support, and I commend all of our board candidates for their willingness to serve our students.”
