To say the Berne-Knox-Westerlo boys basketball team was on a hot streak is an understatement! For the first time in school history, this year’s team captured the first state championship for the boys’ basketball program. They accomplished this feat with a 63-47 win over Honeoye in the Class C state championship game on Saturday, March 22. This year’s team delivered an undefeated record (26-0) for its Bulldog fanbase.

“To be the first in anything is always great but to be the first championship team in program history is truly special,” said BKW Athletic Director Tom Gavin. “This year’s team was a special group of students and the way they stayed dedicated and responded to adversity is a true mark of their character. Our community is so proud of this team and what they did for our school district.”
