At the completion of the 2023-24 school year, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District appointed Karrie Diacetis as Director of Special Education. Ms. Diacetis previously worked at the Center for Disability Services, where she was the principal at the Langan School. As part of her responsibilities at the Langan School, she established, implemented, and monitored financial plans (including planned student enrollment, student attendance, clinical service volume, revenue, and expenses) for all school-age education programs and related service (clinical) components.

“We are incredibly fortunate to add Ms. Diacetis to our staff at BKW,” shared Superintendent of Schools Mrs. Kane. “Her ability to make connections and oversee programs centered on improving the classroom environment for our special education program is crucial for our students’ growth and success.”

In her new role, Ms. Diacetis will be responsible for the coordination of the district’s Special Education program and its related support services and curriculum implementation.

Welcome to the Bulldogs, Ms. Diacetis!
