On Monday, January 27, BKW Elementary School fourth grade teacher Alyssa Smith was recognized by Curriculum Associates as an Extraordinary Educator. Mrs. Smith joins 29 educators nationwide in receiving this recognition. This annual listing focuses on best-in-class educators based on criteria ranging from classroom innovation to student engagement to establishing standards and success for students in the classroom.
“I’m honored to have been selected as an Extraordinary Educator,” shared Mrs. Smith. “Our district’s focus on allowing our students to be their best and supporting teachers is important to our school community. To be recognized, further proves how we are successfully preparing our students for their future pathway.”
The Curriculum Associates Extraordinary Educators program is an annual tradition of celebrating and connecting best-in-class educators who demonstrate established criteria. Extraordinary Educators receive recognition locally and nationally, gain a network of education peers from around the country, and engage in professional learning opportunities.
