The BKW Music department will present the musical Bye Bye Birdie in the HS auditorium this weekend!
Bye Bye Birdie is a satire on 1950's American pop culture and is about a famous rock singer who turns a small Ohio town into a frenzy when he travels there to make his "farewell" television performance and kiss his biggest fan before he is drafted into the Army. The musical was inspired by the phenomenon of popular singer Elvis Presley and his draft notice into the Army in 1957.
Show times are Friday, April 4, at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 5, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 6 at 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Ticket prices are $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for students/seniors and $6.00 for children 12 and under.
The cast of over 75 BKW Middle and High School students have been working very hard over the past 3 months to get ready for opening night. Please come come and support these talented students and hard workers!
Refreshments will be available during intermission in the Gymnasium where you will also find a display of artwork from our BKW Art Students.
It will be a great weekend of entertainment at BKW!
