Superintendent Paul Dorward accepts position in Beacon City, will leave BKW at the end of the year
At its meeting on Monday, April 22, the Board of Education is expected to formally accept Superintendent Paul Dorward's notice of resignation for the end of the 2012-13 school year.
"It has been an honor and privilege to serve the BKW school district and community over the last three years" said Dr. Dorward. "The spirit of the Hilltowns is strong, and my experiences serving the students here will carry with me as I move on to the next step in my career."
Dr. Dorward will remain the Superintendent of the BKW district until June 30, 2013. Starting July 1, he will become the Superintendent for the Beacon City School District in Dutchess County, New York.
In the coming months, the Board of Education will be conducting a search to fill the role of Superintendent. More information about this search will be available in the coming weeks.
