Five students from BKW who are enrolled in courses offered through the Capital Region BOCES Career & Technical School were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society in late May.
These students were honored for excellences in their career and technical education courses and in their academic studies at Berne-Knox-Westerlo. All inductees achieved a 92 or higher average at Career & Tech, an 85 or higher overall average at BKW, plus had five or fewer absences.

Inducted into the National Technical Honor Society at a May 18 ceremony at Career & Tech’s campus on Watervliet-Shaker Road in Colonie were:

At the May 18 induction ceremony, Capital Region BOCES District Superintendent Charles Dedrick said, “Career and Technical School students are ready for college and career, and National Technical Honor Society students go above and beyond. We are proud of these students and all that they have achieved.”
The Honor Society’s mission is to recognize student achievement and leadership, promote educational excellence and enhance career opportunities for career and technical students. Attributes of Honor Society members include skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship, leadership and knowledge.
