Congratulations BKW Cheerleaders! You Made Us Proud!
The endless hours of
practicing for the BKW Varsity Cheerleaders paid off
at the 2010 Cheer Competition at Broadalbin-Perth
High School, on February 20th. The competition was
fierce, but the girls were determined to earn a
trophy; and they succeeded in winning two! The BKW
Cheerleading Squad won a trophy for 2nd Place and
also took home a Spirit Award trophy. BKW fans
showed a spectacular display of Bulldog Spirit in
the bleachers as the cheerleaders performed. Next
time you cross paths with a BKW cheerleader, extend
a congratulations and thank them for promoting
school spirit!

Sophomore Class Seeks to Raise Money and Awareness
Members of the sophomore class
are hoping to sell 1,000 compact fluorescent light
bulbs in an effort to raise money for their class,
and to raise awareness in the community about the
benefits of using CFLs. CFLs can help people save
money on their electric bills and are also better
for the environment. Anyone interested in buying
CFLs through the sophomore class should call the
high school office at 872-1482 and ask for Sheila
Martin or Brian McCoy.
