Serving students in grades 7 through 12

BKW offers students a wide variety of challenging opportunities for students to develop well-rounded skills and characteristics that ready them for college or the 21st century workforce.

Challenging course offerings
BKW Secondary School offers many Advanced Placement (AP) or college-level courses in a variety of subjects such as including Psychology, Literature & Composition, Art, U.S. History and Calculus. These courses offer students opportunities to master college-level work and earn college credit at local universities, such as the University at Albany and Schenectady County Community College (via the University in the Classroom program).

Numerous course offerings at the High School also help students develop the skills they need to pursue individual interests and ambitions. BKW is proud to offer classes such as Entrepreneurship, Graphic Design, Living Environment, Forensic Science, Engineering and U.S. Government and Politics.

2012-13 Student Recognition Assemblies

Each quarter, BKW Secondary School students are honored for academic achievements such as making high honor roll or honor roll, showing the most improvement, participating in community service, and other positive contributions to the school community. Recognition Assemblies are open to parents and community members. The assemblies occur on the following dates:
